If you prefer your custard less thick then top up with milk or cream.
For best results leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.
If put into a Bain Marie custard will thicken during service. You can add a little milk or cream as necessary.
Serving Suggestions
Flavour custard with cocoa powder for chocolate custard.
Stir brandy or rum into pre-prepared custard.
Use as a pouring custard over sponge, tarts and flans.
Use in trifles and fools or mixed with cream to make confectioner's custard.
